Abstract:

This study investigates the identity formation of Muslims living in the United Kingdom in the aftermath of 9/11, a period marked by intensified global concerns over terrorism and its implications for Muslim communities. The research highlights how Muslims in the UK, as a religious minority within a multicultural and secular environment, face unique challenges in preserving their faith-based identity amid sociopolitical pressures, cultural diversity, and public scrutiny. The paper examines the external factors—such as media portrayal, Islamophobia, and Western socio-political discourse—and internal factors including faith, communal values, and self-perception that shape Muslim identity. It further explores how globalization, social networking, and multiculturalism influence identity reconstruction among Muslims, leading to a dynamic interaction between religious and national affiliations. The concept of Islamic identity is analyzed as a holistic submission to the will of Allah, transcending racial, national, and cultural boundaries. The study concludes that the true essence of Muslim identity lies in spiritual adherence to Islam rather than geographical or cultural associations, serving as a source of moral clarity, unity, and resilience in a pluralistic society.

Abstract:

This study explores the linguistic, philosophical, and Islamic dimensions of dreams, tracing their meanings from Arabic roots such as ru’yā and ta‘bīr al-ru’yā. It discusses the definitions offered by classical scholars including Farra’, Zamakhshari, Ibn Manzur, and Ibn Khaldun, emphasizing how dreams have been understood as reflections of the human soul’s activity during sleep. The research highlights the Qur’anic references to dreams—especially those of Prophets Ibrahim, Yusuf, and Muhammad ﷺ—showing that dreams serve as divine messages, moral lessons, and means of revelation. Furthermore, it analyzes the Islamic science of dream interpretation (‘ilm al-ta‘bīr), its historical development, and its legitimacy as a branch of religious knowledge. The paper concludes that dreams hold both spiritual and psychological significance in Islam, acting as a medium of guidance, warning, and divine inspiration for believers.

Abstract:

This study examines the multidimensional framework for establishing a peaceful Islamic state based on the principles of justice, compassion, and moderation. It explores how extremism and violence arise not merely from religious misinterpretations but from political, economic, educational, and psychological imbalances within society. Drawing on Qur’anic teachings, Prophetic traditions, and contemporary scholarly analyses, the paper presents a comprehensive model of reform encompassing religious education, community engagement, socio-economic justice, media ethics, and youth empowerment. It emphasizes that true peace and stability can only be achieved through collective moral awakening, equitable governance, and intellectual revival guided by Islamic values. The research concludes that the integration of ethical, spiritual, and structural reforms is essential for countering radicalism and fostering harmony within the Muslim world.

Abstract:

This paper critically examines Justice Ali Baqar Najafi’s obiter dictum in the Noor Mukadam murder case, addressing the objections raised by certain commentators. The analysis argues that the Justice’s remarks align with established judicial tradition, Islamic ethical teachings, and contemporary sociological research. Drawing on Qur’anic injunctions, classical jurisprudence, and empirical data from peer-reviewed studies, the paper highlights the social and psychological risks associated with live-in relationships, particularly in culturally conservative societies such as Pakistan. It contends that such relationships undermine family structures, increase gender-based vulnerabilities, and conflict with the constitutional requirement that Pakistani laws conform to the Qur’an and Sunnah (Article 227). The Justice’s note does not alter the legal findings of the case but reflects a broader moral and social guidance consistent with global judicial practice. The study concludes that the critique of live-in relationships rests not on presumption but on a synthesis of Islamic ethical norms, constitutional principles, and sociological evidence.

Abstract:

The Abraham Accords, signed in 2020 under the mediation of the United States, represent a landmark shift in Middle Eastern diplomacy. Through these agreements, Israel normalized relations with several Arab states, including the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Morocco, and Sudan. The accords were introduced as a step toward regional peace, religious tolerance, and economic cooperation among the Abrahamic faiths — Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. However, the Palestinian question, central to the Arab-Israeli conflict for decades, was marginalized in this process. Supporters of the accords view them as a constructive framework for coexistence and development, while critics consider them a political manoeuvre designed to legitimize Israel’s regional dominance and undermine Palestinian aspirations for statehood. This study explores the historical and political background of the Palestinian conflict, the motivations behind the Abraham Accords, and their implications for peace and stability in the Middle East. It also examines the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Gaza, highlighting the tension between diplomatic normalization and moral responsibility. The paper argues that sustainable peace in the Middle East cannot be achieved through strategic alliances or temporary truces alone. True peace demands justice, recognition of Palestinian sovereignty, and the protection of human rights for all. The Abraham Accords, therefore, may serve as a test case for the world — whether political convenience will prevail, or genuine reconciliation based on equality and justice will guide the region’s future.
